Match access

Great seats

Pre-arranged match tickets at three separate grounds.

The routing puzzle

Smart routing

The strongest practical combination of matches, cities and sightseeing.

Small group

The right crew

A deliberately small, social group of people who understand why the IPL matters.

More than a match ticket

One of the world’s great sporting experiences. Hard to organise on your own.

Tickets are released late. Venues can change. Travel between cities takes planning. The best itinerary depends entirely on how the fixture falls.

Pavilion XI brings the pieces together. We combine three live IPL matches at three different grounds with iconic destinations, local experiences and a carefully planned route, all within an eight-night tour that fits a normal holiday.

You get amongst the cricket, culture and colour. We take care of the rest.

Good chaos

We don’t filter India out.

India is energetic, crowded, colourful and unpredictable. That is part of the reason to go. We curate the good chaos: the real thing, without the scams, poor planning or lost afternoons.

It is not India sanded down. It is India done properly.

Part of the trip

  • Stadium precinct walks
  • Markets and street food
  • Tuktuks where they suit
  • Local restaurants
  • Packed stands

Not part of the trip

  • Scams and touts
  • Unreliable suppliers
  • Lost afternoons
  • The wrong gate
  • Wasted travel days

Who it’s for

Plans well organised. Experiences unsanitised.

For travellers who love cricket, are curious about India and value experiences over luxury labels. Come with a partner, a mate, a family member or on your own. The crew is not an afterthought. It is part of the tour.

You’ll probably love it if you

  • love cricket, even if you’re not across every statistic
  • are curious about India
  • enjoy meeting new people
  • are comfortable with busy cities and changing plans
  • want quality stays without spending the trip inside them
  • can take eight nights away, but not three weeks

It may not suit you if you want

  • a luxury coach at every stage
  • international five-star chains as the baseline
  • fine dining every night
  • a completely controlled environment
  • every rough edge of India removed

Meet Leon

Built by a traveller who follows the game.

Leon has travelled to forty-eight countries across all six inhabited continents and has followed sport from Lord’s to Madison Square Garden, from France to the Caribbean, from the MCG to India.

His first trip to India was for Australia’s 2008 Test series. Returning for the IPL in 2026 confirmed the idea behind Pavilion XI: the best cricket trips are about the stories collected around the match as much as the result itself.

At home in Perth, Leon is a primary school principal. The job runs on the same things guests should expect on tour: preparation, calm leadership, clear communication and responsibility for the people in his care.

Questions

Before you join the list

Is there a tour in 2027?

Yes. April 2027 is the first Pavilion XI tour: a small founding group, starting in Delhi with Day 1 between 8 and 12 April, depending on the fixture. Places are limited, and the priority list hears about it first.

When will the exact route be confirmed?

The IPL fixture is usually released in February, but it can be as late as March. Once it is out, we assess the strongest practical combination of three matches at three grounds, then confirm the route after ticket access, transport and accommodation are verified. The priority list hears first.

Is this a luxury tour?

No. It is an experience-led, quality small-group tour. We stay in clean, comfortable, well-run hotels chosen for character, service and location, not five-star palaces full of marble. Private ground transport is protected and match access matters. Luxury insulation is not the product.

Can I travel alone?

Yes. Solo travellers are welcome and the small crew is part of the experience. A single supplement applies if you’d like a room to yourself.

My partner likes travel more than cricket. Will they enjoy it?

The route is designed around India as well as the matches, so the sightseeing stands up as a trip in its own right. Three match nights are central to the tour, so everyone should be comfortable with that rhythm.

What’s included?

Eight nights’ accommodation, three pre-arranged IPL match tickets, private ground transport, domestic transport in the final itinerary, airport transfers at nominated times, selected sightseeing and entry fees, local guides, selected group meals, your Pavilion XI tour host and pre-departure support.

Not included: international flights, visas and travel insurance.

Does registering commit me to anything?

No. Joining the priority list means you receive the confirmed dates, route, full inclusions and price before bookings open. You decide then.
